Weather Round-Up For.......September 2015.

A mixed month with below average rainfall with one ground frost with slightly above average daily temperatures and slightly below average night temperatures. Highest pressure was a 1035 mbs on the 28th and lowest pressure was 987.6mbs on the 16th. Highest wind gust was 28 mph South Westerly, on the 14th. Average rainfall is 62mm ,and recorded was half the monthly average of 31mms, just over an inch. There were 18 dry days and 12 wet days. Highest temperature was 23.9c/74f  on the 10th and the lowest was 2.9c/37f on the 26th. The average daily temperature is 18.3c/64f and recorded was 19.6c/67f and the average night time temperature is 10c/50f and recorded was 8.8c/47f.

A very unsettled month, above average rain, average temperatures. The highest pressure was a 1021.2mbs on the 12th and the lowest pressure was a 1000.2 mbs on the 23rd. The highest wind gust was 31 Southerly on the 3rd.The average rainfall comes out at 66mms, recorded was 93mms nearly [4 inches]  There were 16 dry days and 15 wet days. The highest temperature was 30.6c/87f on the 22nd and the coldest temperature was 8.6c//47f  on the 1st. The average day temperature is 21c/70f, recorded was 21.1c. The average night temperature is 12.1c/54f, recorded was 12.8c.

Weather Round-Up For.......July 2015.

A record breaking hot day in some parts for July to start, then a very mixed month with a record low in some parts to close the month! Highest pressure was a 1021.4mbs on the 9th and the lowest pressure was a 994.2 mbs on the 26th. Highest wind gust was 26 mph southwesterly on the 7th.Rainfall came out at average with 50mms recorded against the average of 52mms. Dry days were 13 and  wet days were 18. Average day temperature come out at 21.7c and the recorded average was 22c, /72f about average. The average night temperature is 12.4c and recorded was below average at 11.7c/53f.  The highest temperature was 34.8c/94f on the 1st [ actually the next day saw temperatures 20c lower!] The lowest temperature came out at the last day of the month with 2c/36f recorded. A record low for these parts! An interesting month as regards temperature extremes...!

A rather dry very warm month overall. Highest pressure was a 1032.8mbs on the 8th,  and the lowest pressure was 1006.9mbs  on the 12th. Highest wind gust was 35mph southerly on the 2nd. The average rainfall is 64mms and recorded is 32mms. There were 23 dry days and only 7 wet days. Highest temperature was 31.6c/89f under clear blue skies ahead of an intense and rare North African plume. Lowest temperature was 4.7c/40f on the 10th. The average day temperature is 19.7c/67f  and recorded was 21.8c/71f. The average night temperature is 10.5c/51f and the recorded was 10.4c/51f which is average .

A very mixed month with above average rainfall and just about average temperatures. Highest pressure was a 1024.7mbs on the 21st and the lowest pressure was 995.1mbs on the 3rd. Highest wind gust was 33mph southerly. Average rainfall is 61mms and recorded was 89mms [25mms = 1 inch] There were 13 dry days and 18 wet days. Highest temperature was 21.7c /71f on the 22nd and the lowest temperature was 3.5c/38f on the 27th. Average day temperature is 16.4c/62f and recorded was 17c/63f and the average night temperature is 7.4c/45f and recorded was 8.5c/47f.

A generally ,dry warm month and settled with well above day time temperatures but night time temperatures were around average with some frosts. Highest pressure was a 1035.1mbs on the 5th and the lowest pressure was a 1003.2mbs on the 25th. Highest wind gust was 33mph southerly on the 12th. There were 19 dry days and 11 wet days. The average rainfall is 51mms and recorded was 13mms.  The highest temperature was 21.8c/71f on the 10th and the lowest temperature was minus 1/30f on the 27th. The average day temperature was 12.5c/54f and recorded was 16.9c/62f . The average night temperature is 4.4c/39f and recorded was 4.9c/40f.

A rather dry and warm month ,with pressure persistently high. The highest pressure recorded was a 1033.8mbs on the 18th and the lowest was 998.2mbs on the 1st. Pressure was fairly persistently high for three quarters of the month ,with the last quarter seeing pressure becoming lower. Highest wind gust was 38 mph Westerly on the 31st.  There were 16 dry days and 15 wet days, but despite this the average rainfall is 57mms ,but recorded rain was 34mms. Highest temperature was 14.7c/58f  on the 28th and the coldest temperature was minus 1c/30f. on the 25th. There were 10 ground frosts  and two air frosts. The average day temperature is 9.6c/49f  and recorded temperature 11.6c/53f. The average night temperature is 2.7c/26f and recorded was 3.7 c/38f.

A fairly settled month with slightly above average temperatures and about average rainfall. Highest pressure was a 1038.4mbs on the 7th and the lowest pressure was 988.2mbs on the 23rd. Highest wind gust was 31 mph from the northwest. There were 16 dry days and 12 wet days with the recorded rainfall of 45mms with the normal being 50mms. There were 7 air frosts and 8 ground frosts . The highest temperature was 13.6c/56f  on the 25th  and the lowest temperature was minus 3.2c/27f  on the 7th. The average day temperature is 6.9c/45f and recorded was 8.1c/46f  and the average low temperature is 1.3c/35f and recorded was 2c/36f.

This month saw above average temperatures ,average rainfall, and generally unsettled conditions.  There were 5 air frosts and  10 ground frosts.[temperatures at or below 3c/37f] The average day temperatures came out at 6.4c/42f ,recorded was 8.6c/47f. The average night time temperature is 1.4c/35f. ,recorded was 2.6c/37f. The highest temperature was recorded on the 9th at 16.3c/62f  but that temperature rose suddenly between five and seven at night which given the time of year is unusual! The lowest night temperature was minus 5c/24f on the 23rd. Highest wind gust was on the 9th along with that high temperature of 33mph southerly. There were 11 dry days and 20 wet days. The average rainfall is 62mms and 57mms just over two inches recorded.

Weather .Round-Up For ........December 2014.

This month was drier than average but with mixed conditions with some hard frosts, with the Christmas period being quiet and rather cold. The average rainfall is 74mms, recorded was 49mms [2 inches]. There were 15 dry days and 16 wet days. The highest pressure was a 1029.3mbs on News Years Eve. The lowest pressure was a 1004.1mbs on the 12th. Highest wind speed was 35 mph southwesterly  on the 9th. Highest temperature was on the 14.3c/58f on the 18th and the coldest temperature was minus 4c/25f under high pressure conditions on the 29th. The average temperature was still above average with the day time temperature recorded 9.6c/49f compared to the average of 7.7c/45f. The night time temperature recorded was 3.2c/37f compared to the average of 2.2c/36f.

A rather traditional November , a very mild, wet a and windy month.There were only 8 dry days with 79mms of rain [3 inches] compared to the average of 79mms. The highest pressure was on the 20th where pressure rose briefly to a 1024mbs and the lowest pressure was 986.9mbs on the 3rd.. The highest temperature was on the 2nd with 15.8c/60f recorded and the lowest temperature was minus 2c/28f on the 25th.The highest windgust was 28mph SouthWesterly  on the 13th. The average daily temperature is 9.8c,/49f but recorded was 11.7c/53f and the night time average temperature is 3.8c/40f and recorded came out at 6.3c/44f.  Three airfrosts were recorded.
