Weather Round-Up For.......January 2015.
This month saw above average temperatures ,average rainfall, and generally unsettled conditions. There were 5 air frosts and 10 ground frosts.[temperatures at or below 3c/37f] The average day temperatures came out at 6.4c/42f ,recorded was 8.6c/47f. The average night time temperature is 1.4c/35f. ,recorded was 2.6c/37f. The highest temperature was recorded on the 9th at 16.3c/62f but that temperature rose suddenly between five and seven at night which given the time of year is unusual! The lowest night temperature was minus 5c/24f on the 23rd. Highest wind gust was on the 9th along with that high temperature of 33mph southerly. There were 11 dry days and 20 wet days. The average rainfall is 62mms and 57mms just over two inches recorded.
