Weather Round-Up For January 2011
January,. was a "non-Descript" month weatherwise compared to the previous month of the record breaking cold of December. It came out about average for temperature ,but with locally below average rainfall. Highest day-time temperature was on Sunday the 16th when a very mild 13.8c/56f was recorded and the lowest temperature was at the end of the month with minus 8.3c/20f. The highest Barometric pressure was on the 21st and the lowest was on the 5th. The highest gust of wind was recorded on the 15th with 35mph from the South. The average day temperature comes out at 6.7c/43f and this January averaged 6.4c so bang on average and the Night-time average is 1.4c/35f and recorded was 1.2c. Average rainfall around the Worcestershire area is about 62mms[2.5 inches] and recorded was below average at 42.5mms.
