From tonight onwards the cold will intensify with most places away from the coasts seeing some severe frosts especially central and eastern England ,northern England and Scotland and east and mid Wales. Temperatures will widely get down to minus7c/19f and minus 12c/10f especially for those with snow cover. Daytime temperature will struggle to get to 0c/32f. This is valid to Friday.
Friday and Saturday look potentially very snowy for Wales, SW England, West Midlands, and Southern and SouthEast England. Updates will follow when required.
