Your Week Ahead Forecast!

The past week has seen upwards of a months rain and by the time today has finished some places would have seen two months rain in one week! Monday will probably see the best day of the week and some pleasant sunny intervals and temperatures in the warm category at about 18c/64f. Make the most of it though as the rest of the week remains unsettled and turning cooler again with a lot of cloud some showers or even longer spells of rain. The Bank Holiday weekend at this stage looks to be again unsettled and rather chilly!!! Sorry folks!  See Yer Ian.

Weather Round-Up for....March 2012.

March was very unlike a Spring month and once again came out as one of the driest and warmest since records began! There were only 4 air frosts the lowest temperature was minus 2.7c/27f on the 19th. There were 15 ground frosts however. The month was dominated by High pressure on the whole ,hence the settled condition. There was some large "Diurnal" temperatures during the second half of the month, for instance the months highest temperature was on the 28th at 21.9c/72f after a morning temperature of about minus 1c/30f, a 23 degrees temperature difference within about 9 hours! Rainfall again was very much below the average of  57mms and recorded was just 16.2c/61f! Average daily temperatures were way above the March average of 9.6c/49f and recorded was 14.2c/57f . The average night temperature was closer to the average of 2.7c/36f thanks mainly to the clear calm nights and recorded night was 3.2c/39f. Overall, a very benign, month!

Your Week Ahead Forecast!

Hi, hope all are enjoying the Easter break, despite the weather being rather somber! Things go down hill even quicker tonight and Bank holiday Monday, look like a washout and the rest of the week will see rather unsettled conditions with rain or showers at times, the showers heaviest during the afternoon with hail and thunder possible and even some wet snow, later in the week especially on high ground. Feeling cold in the showers but some bright sparkling April sunshine at times. Some of the showers this week could well cause some localized flooding as the showers will be rather intense! Have a good one, See Yer Ian.
