Your Weekend Forecast!

Another weekend with us and it has to be said that it wont be a bad weekend at all ! Tonight will generally be cloudy but with clearing skies overnight ,this could well lead to a slight frost first thing on Saturday. A dry
day with some sunshine but large amounts of cloud as well. Mild with light winds 12c/54f and  3c/37f as a low. A repeat Performance for Sunday, but turning cloudier later. Have a Great Weekend. See Ya Ian.

January Weather Round-Up.2012..

Another line in a string of many months now where the temperatures have been above average and rainfall again below average to start off 2012 in this corner of the country.The month started off stormy allbeit mild with a gust recorded of 40 mph Westerly, although gusts of winds were somewhat higher than that in exposed locations. The Barometric pressure had a difference of a 1034mbs on the 13th to a 1004.9 mbs on the 3rd. Both Average day and night temperatures were well above average, the Average Day temp is 6.7c/44f and recorded was 8.9c/48f. The night time average is 1.4c/35f and recorded was 3c/39f. There were 10 air frosts and a couple of ground frosts and the lowest temperature was at minus 5.8c/25f on the 14th. The highest temperature was recorded at 12.3c/54f on the 12th. A pretty much "unisnspiring" Winter month.!

Your Week Ahead Forecast!

Hi Folks. Despite a Cold start today, temperatures this week will be on the up, so by the end of the week, Thursday/Friday time we will see some exceptionally mild weather, and given any Sunshine, we may reach 18c/64f. The record for this time of year was 19.7c at Greenwich on February 13th 1998 closely followed by Worcester at 19.6c/67f!  Not much in the way of rain around away from the North and West of the Uk, but some patchy rain Early Tuesday Morning and then later on Wednesday into the Early part of Thursday. Whatever youre doing have a great week and enjoy the SpringLike weather!

Your Weekend Weather!

A two faced weekend coming up, Saturday turning wet and windy and colder as that rain band clears away Saturday evening, to leave some icy patches ,and then on Sunday, some sparkling sunshine for all, with a very small chance of a Wintry flurry ,during the afternoon. Highs of 4c/39f . Turning very cold Sunday evening with temperatures down to minus 5c/23f.

Your Weekend Weather!!

After the fun and games of the last 48hrs of weather forecasting, the picture above sums up what the weather will be like this weekend! Clearing skies tonight will lead to a deep harsh frost and by Saturday  morning temperatures could drop to around the minus 10c/18f mark with some potential Freezing Fog patches. A cold day on Saturday with top temperatures around 0c/32f. but with a good deal of bright or sunny conditions and dry throughout. Another very cold evening and overnight period in to Sunday but clouding up during the Early morning with perhaps some light Wintry flurries and this scenario is likely through out Sunday ,with cloudy conditions but becoming Milder later in the day with highs of 5c/41f. Weather Warning!

This is an update to the Previous warning. Snow will become widespread and persistent this evening and overnight and  into the Early afternoon on Friday. This gives a window of potentially 18 hours of snow, some of which will be heavy. 4 to 8 inches of snow generally, locally more. Travelling conditions are likely to become very difficult.

Your Week Ahead Forecast!

After the Snow what we saw the weekend and now the remnants of thawing snow, a Quiet week of weather coming up, but turning much colder from the East as we move through the week. Monday and Tuesday, will see extensive Hill Fog, grey and misty and Murcky for the rest of us with perhaps some Drizzle and patchy rain from time to time. Highs of 4c/39f and Lows of 0c/32f. From Wednesday onwards , brighter but colder air moving in , which will allow frost to develop overnight and Freezing Fog as well which may well be reluctant to clear in some places later in the week, and where that happens it will stay below freezing all day. Severe frost by Thursday and Friday with lows of Minus10c/18f, Highs of 1c/34f. Now snow threat this coming week. See Yer Ian.
