Octobers Weather Round Up....

October was a very mixed month with a higher deviation of rainfall than normal the average rainfall here is 56mms and the recorded was 78.6mms about an inch more than the norm. Temperatures had a slightly lower deviation than norm with the average and recorded day time temperature of 14.6c being bang on, but the nightime temperatures were slightly colder than average with a recorded average of 6.9c compared to the average of 7.6c and that was thanks mainly due to some fairly hard frosts mid to late month with the lowest temperature recorded on the  25th with a low of minus 2.5c/27f. There were a few warmish days in the first half of the month with a high of  19.7c /67f on the 10th and a maximum wind gust on the 1st with 24mph Southerly. Highest pressure was 1028.8mbs on the 25th and the lowest was 987.7mbs on the 3rd. A generally clear trend this month of a marked difference then of recent Octobers for it not to be anything like an "Indian Summer"    !
