Weather Round-Up For April 2013

April was rather a quiet month, with below average rainfall here with 23.4mms of rain recorded compared to the average of 51mms. A windy spell mid-month making for a windchill with 34mph gust of wind from the south on the 17th. The month temps came slightly below average, following the coldest March on record. Day time temps were around average, with 12.7c recorded compared to the normal of 12.5c. The months temperatures came slightly below average because the overnight temps were colder than average.The average is 4,4c and recorded was 3.1c. The highest pressure was a 1030.3 mbs on the 19th and the lowest was 995.4mbs on the 11th. Highest temperature was on the 23rd with 19.8c/67f recorded and the lowest temperature was minus4.5c/23f. The theme again for this month was the serious lack of warmth, and having dire consequences for agriculture, right around the uk...

Week Ahead Forecast...

A fair week ahead generally ,with light winds although some notable cool nights for this time of year. A fair amount of cloud too but in any longer spells of sunshine top temperatures this week of 22c/72f. Some light showers possible but a lot of dry weather, but Friday may well produce some more organized showery rain. Have a great week! Ian.

Weekend Forecast....

Evening! The warm ,humid conditions are now seeping away as we inherit a cooler more unsettled airmass. Overnight rain will be replaced by sunshine and showers on Saturday with blustery winds and feeling cool with highs of 15c/59f. Sunday similar perhaps with some longer spells of rain. Weekends weather...

Evening Folks. A disturb weekend ahead with rain and showers but with some sunny intervals in between! Tonight will see some general rain pushing in, Saturday will see heavy thundery showers pushing in with gusty winds. Sunday sees a nice start but heavy thundery rain moving up from the south later, more on our video forecast on Sunday.! Have a good one!Ian.
