Your weekend forecast!

Evening folks! Well we are now entering summer and for once the weather will feel summerlike! We reached the dizzy heights of 22c/72f today and although the weekend will have dry weather with sunny intervals it wont feel quite so warm and humid as we now have fresher cooler air moving in. So if your off camping this weekend make sure you take a thick duvet or sleeping bag with you as its gonna get fairly chilly overnight, with 5 or 6c/43f likely! Typical highs this weekend a little lower than today with 19c/66f the high ,but feeling very nice all the same! Have a lovely weekend, and I will be back with your week ahead national video forecast, on Sunday.   Ian.

Your Bank holiday weather forecast...

Evening, Well another Bank holiday is with us and I have to say it will feel a lot difference from todays winterlike conditions! Saturday, starts off on the cool side then a dry day and thankfully winds much lighter than todays! Some sunshine, but a fair packet of cloud too, but that's certainly better than today.Sunday:- as a rather cold start with some patchy frost here and there and then a fair day with some pleasant temperatures of 18c/64f. Just the outside chance of an isolated shower. Bank Holiday Monday starts fine, but turning more unsettled during the day with rain later, but for instance, the Pershore Carnival should escape any bad weather! Whatever youre doing, have a great bank holiday, and I will be back with the video forecast and archive weather later on Sunday! Ian.

Weather Round-Up for .......March 2013.

March was the coldest March on records [since 1893] with profound serious impacts on Farmers and Agriculture. The month was astonishingly cold with unusually bitterly cold airmasses affecting all parts of the Uk, Despite a mildish start to the month with a warm 15.7c/60f recorded on the 5th, the second half of the month was even colder than the first half! The average temperature for March in this part of the country comes out at 9.6c/49f for a daily figure. Recorded was 6.1c/48f making it colder than the January and February average. The night time temps came out at an average of minus2c/28f, compared to the average of 2.7c/36f. Severe blizzards occured in some parts of the Uk, [we here managed to avoid this on low ground], but during the 22nd/23rd/24th parts of Mid /North Wales ,the Pennines, and Northern Ireland were buried under huge snowdrifts. Parts of North Wales for instance, had 8meters, or about 27ft snowdrifts resulting in livestock being buried for days in snow, with heavy losses of life for lambs and sheep in picticular. The Cotswolds and Malverns had snow drifts too during this period and another astonishing fact is how long the snow lasted for with only a slow thaw, with snow still on the ground even into early April, some two weeks later from the blizzards. An "ice day" was on the 24th which for this time of year is unheared of where the temperature never got above 0c/32f. Minus 10c was recorded on the 31st. Rainfall or precip came out at average ,recording 58.2mms. This month will be remembered for a very long time.!
