Early weekends weather!

Evening folks! Once again the weekend is nearly upon us, and the weather does not look too bad. Friday will see drier weather allbeit rather cloudy after an initial very chilly start for this time of year with some sunshine. Saturday looks another dry day although cloud amounts will tend to be rather large some sunshine can be expected. Sunday looks like the cloudiest day with perhaps some light rain or drizzle especially first thing. Temperature range for this period, lows of 5c/41f and highs of 18c/64f . Have a good on! Ian.

Weather Round-Up For July 2012.

July 2012 will be remembered for the amount of rainfall that fell. The average for this area is about 52mms for July, recorded was 136.2 mms [ 5.5 inches]. The month was characterised by some very heavy intense downpours such as July 6th, when flash flooding was a problem The month on the whole was cooler than average  with a daytime average temperature recorded of 21.2c/70f, compared to the seasonal norm of 21.7c/71f. The average recorded temperature for the nightime temperature came out at 11.6c/53f  ,compared to the seasonal average of 12.4c/55f. It was windy during mid-month with a gust of 29mph Westerly on the 16th. There were 12 dry days but 19 wet days. There was one fine hot spell between the 22nd and the 28th with a top temperature of 29.4c/85f on the 24th. The lowest temperature was on the 12th at 7.2c/45f. The air pressure fluctuated between 998.2mbs on the 13th and 1024mbs on the 21st. A great month for Ducks Swans and Geese!

The great Bank holiday weekend is upon us and so is low pressure meaning wet at times. The best of any dry weather this holiday weekend will be the second half of Sunday and the first half of Monday after a rather cool start. Week Ahead Weather!

The week coming up folks will be generally fine away from todays storms and increasingly cooler and less humidty in the following days. Some showers around this week but theses will be scattered other than Tuesday where perhaps more widespread showers for a time are expected. Warm in the sunshine with highs this week typically around 21-23c/70f-73f. Lows of 10c/50f. Looking ahead to the Bank holiday and low pressure will be in charge so more rain expected. Weekend weather

Evening folks! Potential warmth this weekend but a troublesome weather front will provide weather forecasters a headache! A warm humid start to Saturday but with potential heavy downpours , perhaps brighter later and in any sunshine feeling very warm with temperatures close to 80f 26/27c. Sunday, will see similar weather. so a lot of fair humid even hot feeling weather but always a chance of some thundery downpours. Highs of 27c/81f. Lows this weekend of 16c/61f so some warm sticky nights! If youre interested in the upcoming Bank holiday weekend the weather looks to be truly British and a cool, breezy and at times wet Bank Holiday looks likely! Have a great weekend! Ian.

From a Weekend with monthly rainfall to a brief affair with Summer!

Youve guessed it, back to the fimiliar scenario of Flash flooding as this Summer as already showed! This weekend will see some lovely warmth in the Sun, but expect some torrential downpours even intense downpours leading to some localized flooding and road closures. By early next week things start to dry out and turn warmer with 80f sometime during later next week. It does not last though as more downpours arrive from the South late in the week and during the weekend! Have a good one! Ian.
